St Hugh's Centre

Thank you very much to all those who have donated food items in our collection boxes outside St John’s, St Hugh’s and St James’s. As you know, St Hugh's food bank has been very busy over the past year and 2020 saw a record number of food parcels being given to Baildon people struggling to feed themselves and their families. Unfortunately the situation isn’t improving and claims are still high. Please keep your donations of non-perishable food items coming in. Winter is such a hard time for people who are just managing to make ends meet. We want to be there for the times when the ends simply won’t come together! Currently we are short of cereals, UHT milk, tinned meat and fish, tinned potatoes, dilute juice, toiletries (shower gel, deodorant, shampoo) and carrier bags, preferably the longer life ones. We presently have plenty of pasta, baked beans, tinned tomatoes, soup and rice.

Virtual Coffee - From the comfort of your own home, join us for Virtual Coffee, every Sunday at 11.00am. This is a great chance to catch up with friends and share news and stories. We will be meeting via the video conferencing app Zoom which allows us to see and hear each other and join in conversation. All you need is an internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone. Most moderns phones, laptops and tablets have these as standard. You will have received a Zoom link in your ‘Message from Sandra’ but if not, just email sandrabenham@btinternet.com. Once you join Virtual Coffee, your screen will show you little pictures of all the attendees and you will be able to hear and join the conversation. Don’t forget to bring a beverage of your choice!

The Parish of Baildon - YouTube

Public worship suspended - For the safety of our staff, volunteers and members of the community, public worship in the Parish of Baildon is suspended during lockdown. The Parochial Church Council of Baildon has not taken the decision lightly but in the face of the current surge in cases, we feel this is the safest action. BUT you can still worship with us! We will livestream our Sunday Service every week at 10am here on our Facebook page and it will be available for you to view later on our Youtube channel. We know these are difficult times but we can get through this together and we do hope you will still join us on Sundays.
