You may know that the Tour de Yorkshire is on Sunday 30th April and starts from Hollins Hill at around 12 noon. As the Tour will come along Otley Road right past St James’ Church, the PCC has agreed that our services that day will be different enabling us to engage with the community of Baildon. On that day the services will be: 8.30am at St John’s Church, 9.00am at St Hugh’s Church and 6.00pm at St James’ Church. For the rest of the morning we will open St James’ Church for the community to use and offer free refreshments – tea/coffee and tray bake. These will be taken out to the crowds and shared around. We need as many people as possible to come and help on that day giving out refreshments and handing out hand-wavers to wave as the riders go past. It is a great way for us as Church to serve and engage with the community of Baildon and promises to be a wonderful morning.
