around the biblical garden at St James’s Church

Tuesday 26th March

7.30pm Stations of the Cross at St John’s
Join us for a reflective service using music, Bible reading and reflection. Images are placed around the church showing Jesus’ journey to the cross. We walk the journey with him, lighting candles on the way.

Maundy Thursday, 28th March

7.30pm Holy Communion at St John’s
This service is full of theatre and movement. Using music and drama we move through Jesus’ last supper with his friends, to Gethsemane and Jesus’ arrest. We enter into these events by foot-washing, sharing a simple meal and Communion.

Good Friday, 29th March

8.45am Walk of Witness from St Aidan’s Church
A walk from St Aidan’s Roman Catholic Church to Baildon Centre. We will walk up the hill, pausing at certain points to reflect on Jesus’ journey using the Stations of the Cross.

10am—1pm Good Friday Pilgrimage at St John’s
The Church is open for reflection and prayer. There will be prayer stations depicting Jesus’s last words from the Cross. You are encouraged to add something to each scene or take something away.

12 noon Good Friday Lunch in St John’s Church Hall

2pm Last Hour at the Cross at St John’s
There will be a service to mark this most holy hour and the death of Jesus.

EASTER CRAFTS AND BONNET PARADE ON EASTER SUNDAY

11.30am Easter crafts for children and coffee for adults in St John’s Church Hall. Everybody welcome. The children will be making Easter bonnets

12 noon Easter Bonnet Parade around St John’s Church grounds.
