Virtual Coffee
After Sunday Service we are all accustomed to meeting for a coffee, a chat and a catch up. We still do this but, instead of pouring into the church hall, lounge or meeting room, we now meet in a virtual environment of Zoom! Zoom allows us to meet online; we can see and hear each other in real time. Why not make yourself a cuppa so you’re ready? We meet at 11.00am each Sunday after service. Just email Reverend Sandra at sandrabenham@btinternet.com and she will send you an invitation and a link. Don’t worry if you’re not tech savvy; it’s very user-friendly and all you need is a device with a camera which is connected to the internet.

These are challenging times for anyone’s wellbeing. We are all struggling with the feelings of disconnect and isolation. Now, more than ever, it’s important to take care of ourselves and find ways to be positive. You might following links useful.

We are working towards opening our buildings and already have some services at St John’s Church. Join us, pray with us, be present with us – see the new ways we worship below:

Sunday Services
From Sunday 16th August 2020 we are holding two Sunday services at 9am and 11am. When you arrive at church you will be guided to a socially distanced pew by one of our wardens. Pews can hold up to 5 people and you can share a pew with members of your own household or support bubble. We’ve installed a one-way system, a hand sanitiser station amongst other measures to keep you and our team safe. It is essential to book – call the parish office on 01274 594941 to reserve the service of your choice. You may need to leave a message but we aim to confirm your booking within 48 hours. Please be advised face coverings must be worn unless you have a medical exemption. Children under 11 years old do not need to wear a face covering.

Virtual Sunday Service
Every Sunday at 10am our own Parish of Baildon service is available on FaceBook. Just click on this link for our FaceBook page or search ‘Parish of Baildon’. If you ‘like’ our page, the service will come up on your feed every Sunday.

Parish of Baildon YouTube channel
Check out our YouTube channel for some extra resources for you to enjoy whenever you like. There is an episode about ‘Worship Through Craft’ with ideas for crafting while being present with God. There’s worship for children too, with stories, crafting and ideas. Find our YouTube channel on the Homepage or by clicking here.

Morning Prayer
On Mondays to Thursdays at 9am we hold a Morning Prayer service, led by a member of our clergy team. We use Zoom (Client for Meetings), the online audio/visual conferencing service. As long as you have a device with internet access and a camera – laptop, mobile phone, tablet – you can join us for our weekday services. It’s handy if you have another device with internet access so you can find the words to follow the service on the Church of England website. There’s also an app for your phone is called ‘Daily Prayer’ and is available for Apple and Android devices.

To access the Zoom service, email Rev Sandra at sandrabenham@btinternet.com and she will send you an invitation and a link. Simply press on the link before the service starts and you’ll be instantly connected. The good part is that we will all be there to help you with any issues you may have on your first experience.

Below are a list of our online services and reflections for Holy Week and Easter Day.

Maundy Thursday Reflection at 2pm
Good Friday Service available from 2pm
Holy Saturday Reflection at 2pm
