Advent will soon be here and this year we are offering a selection on ways of reflecting on this season:
Presents round the Tree: 2020 is the Year of the Tree, so it seems fitting that we might use the image of the Christmas tree as a focus for spiritual reflection and craft–making during Advent. It evokes the possibilities of joy, and the strangeness of bringing the outdoor world inside; with hopes and expectations of the gifts which lie beneath. If you would like to share in some spiritual reflection and/or crafting ideas during Advent then resources will be available from Craft through Worship from the beginning of Advent. These are available to download here or to pick up from boxes outside the three churches.

Night Prayer/Compline: Ruth and Sandra will be live streaming Compline every day during Advent at 9.00pm onto the Parish of Baildon Facebook page. The service sheet can be downloaded here. Alternatively you can download the Daily Prayer app and find the service sheet there.
A Study of Mark: Next liturgical year, beginning on Advent Sunday, we move to study the Gospel of Mark. As a way of helping to think about this Gospel, we are offering a study course on Mark which Carolyn will lead on. These sessions will be on zoom starting on Wednesday 18th November at 7.30pm. If you like a link please let Sandra know or if you receive ‘A Message from Sandra’ by email you will find the link in the latest edition.
